Here's to a New Era

Welcome to our site! If you're reading this blog right now then you're either one of our loyal followers or a newcomer interested in one or more of our services. Whatever the reason, we appreciate you. Six months ago, the Briggs Events team, formerly Briggs Designs, officially rebranded and opened our new office on Sir Vivian Richards Street. Our office is designed to cater to a triage of services - event planning and decor, live floral artistry, and a beauty studio. Our team is made up of a set of young, talented professionals who have not only the experience to provide pristine service, but a passion for excellence. As such, we found it important to make that one of the core emblems of our company slogan - Vision. Excellence. Prestige. 

When we rebranded late last year, it was our goal to become more acquainted with our clientele so as to better suit their needs, as well as to better advertise our services, what we do and who we are as a team. So without further ado, let us introduce ourselves.

 

 

 

Most of you would be familiar with myself, Neon Briggs. I am the creative director and founder of Briggs Events. I started designing eight years ago, and as I continued to become involved in more events, I realized just how much I really loved what I do. This is not just a job for me, it's a way to enrich the lives of others through my designs and add value to events. One of the things I really disliked when I attended various events in Antigua is seeing how many party planners have a total disregard for the decor aspect of the event. Sadly, the ambiance is not a priority for many promoters. Whenever I travelled, I would see the stark contrast between the emphasis placed on decor for international events in comparison to what we have in Antigua. That is why I decided to really push myself and revolutionize the standard of events locally and regionally. Since then, I see much improvement in how some events approach the subject of decor, however, I think that we still have a way to go before we are able to have international-grade events.

 

 

 

 

My sister, Salome Browne, is the chief floral designer of Salome's Florals. Her designs are often said to supercede the imagination and are anything but conventional. With over 12 years experience, she has revolutionized the concept of traditional floral arrangements to create pieces that channel the character and personality of her clients. She has had the opportunity to create exotic pieces for some of the top hotels in Antigua - Jumby Bay, Sandals, Galley Bay, Blue Waters and many more. Her hope is that more people will start to appreciate the unspoken value of flowers,  and not only recognize them on special occasions, but throughout the year. Flowers are a simple yet memorable way of showing someone how much you care about them, and that is something that should never be taken for granted.

 

 

 

 

Our secretary, Deandria Williams, is often described as a burst of energy. She truly encapsulates what it means to be a member of the Briggs Events team. Our clients are always welcomed with a bright smile and she surely makes them feel welcomed and appreciated. She is currently studing architectural design and accounting at ABIIT and aspires to be an accomplished architect. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our public relations officer and in-house graphic designer, Duana Jarvis, is a new addition to the team who has proven to be truly valuable. She is a youth ambassador who has travelled to many countries representing Antigua and Barbuda in the past, where she had many enriching experiences. She aspires to be a program developer and continue volunteering and travelling the world. She has had a pivotal role in the rebranding process and desires to see the company extend borders and become recognized not only regionally, but internationally. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our team would not be complete without our marvelous field assistant, Jamal Prince. He  has have been around since the inception and has added his own sense of creativity and ideas to make each design truly exceptional. He is hardworking, talented, loyal and really makes the team complete. So now that you've met the team, we hope that this is the first step in you becoming more familiar with who we are as one of Antigua's premier one stop shop for all things pertaining to events. Throughout this blog, we hope to inspire, encourage and enlighten the public about events, careers, travels, food and many more interesting things.
